At Yellow Sub Trading, we want your favorite outfits to look as bold and fresh as the day they arrived. Because we carry a wide variety of fabrics—from delicate mesh and sequins to high-stretch bandage materials—proper care is essential.

Follow this guide to keep your wardrobe in top condition.

1. General Washing Tips

1. Check the Label: Always check the care label inside the garment first.
   
2. Cold Wash is Best: To prevent shrinking and fading, we recommend washing most items in cold water (30°C).
   
3. Wash Inside Out: This protects prints, sequins, and delicate surface fibers from friction during the wash cycle.
   
4. Avoid Overloading: Giving your clothes space in the machine prevents stretching and tearing.
   

2. Care by Fabric Type

1. Fabric Type: Best Care Method: What to Avoid: Cotton & Basics: Machine wash cold; air dry. High-heat drying (causes shrinkage).
   
2. DenimWash sparingly; wash inside out. Fabric softeners (break down stretch).
   
3. Sequins & Beaded Hand wash only in cool water. Machine washing or ironing over decor.
   
4. Faux Leather: Wipe clean with a damp cloth.Machine washing or dry cleaning.
   
5. Bandage/Stretch. Hand wash and dry flat. Hanging while wet (stretches the shape).
   
6. Satin & Silk-Look: Gentle cycle in a laundry bag. Direct sunlight when drying (fades color).
   

3. Drying & Ironing

1. Skip the Tumble Dryer: The high heat of a dryer is the #1 cause of damaged elastic and "pilling" on fabric.
   
2. Air drying is always safer.
   
3. Ironing: Always iron on the reverse side (inside out) using a low heat setting. For delicate items, we recommend using a garment steamer instead of a traditional iron.
   
4. Storage: Heavy knitwear and bandage dresses should be folded rather than hung to prevent them from losing their shape over time.
   

4. Footwear Care

1. Sneakers: Use a soft brush and mild soap to spot-clean. Do not put sneakers in the washing machine, as it can damage the glue.
   
2. Heels & Boots: Keep them in a cool, dry place. For faux suede styles, use a dedicated suede brush to remove dust.
